Advizel
Delete your account
You can delete your Advizel account and everything tied to it at any time. Deleting from inside the app is immediate; if you no longer have the app, email us and we will do it for you.
From inside the app
- Open Advizel and go to You (the profile tab).
- Choose Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your bank connections are disconnected through Plaid and your data is removed right away.
If you no longer have the app
Email [email protected] from the email address on your Advizel account with the subject line Delete my account. We reply to that address to confirm it is you, then delete the account within 30 days and send a confirmation when it is done. Sending from the account's own address is the only verification we ask for.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email, phone number, date of birth, and state.
- Every connected account, balance, transaction, liability, and the figures we calculated from them.
- Anything you told us in the app, such as income corrections, manual bills, and a credit-score range.
- Your questions to the in-app advisor and the answers.
- Support requests you sent from the app.
- Your notification settings and push-notification token.
- Your bank connections at Plaid: we revoke Advizel's access; Plaid's own records are governed by Plaid's end-user privacy policy.
What is kept, and for how long
- Security and audit logs are anonymized — the entries no longer identify you — and kept as long as required for safety and compliance.
- Crash reports sent to our error-monitoring provider never contain your name, email, balances, or account names; they carry a pseudonymous identifier and expire on the provider's normal retention schedule.
- Emails you exchanged with support remain in our support mailbox in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Removing one bank instead of everything
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove a bank. In the app, open You › Bank connections and disconnect the institution; its accounts and transactions are removed and Advizel's access to it is revoked at Plaid.
